Abercorn Crescent Street Trees

We have an exciting new project to plant more street trees along the east end of Abercorn Crescent, Willowbrae in Edinburgh this winter as part of the Edinburgh Million Tree City initiative.

Tree Time relies on donations to plant street trees across the Edinburgh and the Lothians so we would be very grateful for any support to make this project a reality. The more donations we raise, the more trees we can plant, so please consider donating what you can.

If you wish to contribute a tree, every donation of £650 will enable us to plant one additional tree. This pays for the tree itself, a protective guard, planting costs, as well as ongoing watering and maintenance.

We are working with the Northfield & Willowbrae Community Council to plant more trees in this area. Street trees in urban areas offer so many benefits, such as:

  • Mitigating the effects of climate change
  • Removing carbon and other pollutants
  • Reducing flood risk
  • Providing wildlife habitat
  • Making our streets more beautiful
  • Increasing the value of property

We are very grateful for your support in helping us plant more trees across the city. If you know of a street that you think would benefit from tree planting, please get in touch at treetime@elgt.org.uk.
