Published April 12, 2018 by Richard in Previous Work
Thanks to funding from Trees For Cities, The Scottish Government and The European Union we were able to plant 7000 trees at Little France Park. This included the following species
English oak (Quercus robur), Sessile oak (Quercus petrea), Silver birch (Betula pendula), Downy birch (Betula pubescens), Hazel (Corylus avellana), Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia), Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris)
We had help to plant the trees from 232 volunteers involving 8 groups which included Peoples Postcode Lottery, Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, school groups and other members of the local community.
