Port Seton Tree Planting

Yesterday we planted four new trees in Port Seton, East Lothian. Thank you to Siemens Energy who made a generous donation to Tree Time to pay for the new trees and their maintenance. We planted a pink blossom cherry tree in Goolwa Park and three crab apple trees in North Seton Park. The new trees will greatly improve the area for the local community to enjoy. They will also provide habitat for wildlife and increase biodiversity in the area. For example, the trees will produce pollen and nectar for essential pollinator species such as bees. They will also produce fruits to attract a variety of bird species.

Thank you to Sarah from Siemens Energy and the local community from Port Seton Community Centre who came along yesterday to help us plant the trees. It was a great afternoon spent in nature, planting trees and connecting with others.

It is wonderful to see businesses helping to plant trees in their local community. If your organisation would like to get involved and support Tree Time, you can find more information here.

Volunteers from Siemens Energy and the local community came out to help us plant the new trees in Goolwa Park and North Seton Park.
