Remembering mum

It’s been 17 years this year since we lost mum. It’s taken this long to get round to finding the right way to remember her outside of the memories we have of her.
A huge motivation for this is my seven year old daughter Pearl who never met her, keeps asking about her and as mum was cremated we don’t have somewhere to go to remember her or pay respects.
I grew up in a flat on Halmyre Street close to Leith Links park and we moved away when my mum married her husband Ian. If there is anywhere in the world mum was at home it was Edinburgh so this is the perfect spot for her memory.
